Mitzi’s is an accredited skills development and training company .Our facilitators, moderators and assessors have many years of good experience and great results. We have established relationships with Foodbev and W&R Seta and therefore have an in-depth understanding of how their policies and processes work.

Mitzi’s is accredited with the FoodBev SETA, reg. no. 587/00173/1900 and we are a wholly-owned business within the EduTex Education portfolio.
We have been involved in training with the Foodbev SETA since 2013, assisting a multitude of students to successfully complete their training courses and obtain a valuable accreditation.
We are Level 2 B-BBEE certified and continue to gain additional SAQA accreditations each year.

Learners receive practical education and training on site as well as offsite during the bakery and confectionery training learnership which is a year’s program.
SETA Fully accredited bakery and confectionery training learnerships and skills development: Craft baking NQF level 2, Craft baking NQF level 3 and
Plant baking NQF level 2 are on offer. bakery and confectionery training
Skills and Education Programmes cover:
Bread and Rolls, Morning goods (Donuts, Chelsea Buns, Raisin Bread or Sweet Buns), Chemically Aerated goods (Muffins, Scones, or Madeira’s) or Confectionery (Cakes, Tarts, and basic decorating skills) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) as well as Generic Health & Safety, Literacy and Numeracy skills.
All the skills programmes and learnerships are registered with the Foodbev SETA.
Our Administration includes assessment of the education and skills development of learners, prior to commencing and during the process, Monitoring their progress, Coaching sessions, Monitoring of registers and log books, Supply of accredited training material, Portfolio of evidence – assessment including theoretical and practical enrolment into stores and SETA.

We are registered with Foodbev to perform the SDF and training provider function .
In larger organisations, a currently employed training and education or Human Resource (HR) manager may take up the role of an internal SDF for skills development.
In smaller organisations there is often no dedicated training or HR professional fulfilling that role, and so a manager or company owner will assume the responsibility. The role can also be outsourced to a professional external SDF such as Mitzis, since we specialize in bakery and confectionery training.
